Playing parkour
with the souls in the street
the ghost of Musashi coasting
on an azure hydroplane-mirage

Sunbathing sabertooths
hot bean paste cement
guacamole hair gel sorbet

My heart skips like stones
in a valley where bootleg orchards
bloom ransom notes
boast photosynthetic immunity

dry earth tangerine rust sponge
a sky whose black death
is renewed periwinkle

Chupacabras rest, serenading

Hotel Red Pepper is the only monastery for miles.
