The Congressman and the Mechanic (feat. Sign7)

Sign7 …The Congressman
He opens his eyes thoughts marred by how far lord seems…
Cuz he sleeps on a concrete mattress, under cardboard sheets…
Oblivious to how considerably harsh his pain is…
No choice but not to care bout only ownin a cart an blanket…
First thing he remembers thinkin is “Why does she touch me?…
When I slide to the side why does she sigh cryin “Why won’t you love me?”…
He denied no one’s loving he…….lacked the ability…
To assume the role of a rationally compassionate entity…
Remembers his first fall, lost every tooth in his mouth…
Only thought on his mind was an excuse for jumpin off the roof off the house…
Teeth will grow back but why no pain in the gums?...
Brow don’t even tingle when ‘is forehead’s an inch away from the aim of a gun…
A girl once bridged their stories into a passage of sin…
He didn’t even know he came till he felt flaccid again…
When she spoke those words an broke the silence with vows…
He left lackin the conviction to explain why “I don’t know how”…
Only involved wit what requires him to be the least responsive…
He was surprised as you when he found himself in a seat in congress…
To be completely honest he was the best to ever hold it down for his state…
An that’s the reason the powers at play wouldn’t allow him to stay…
Being totally emotionless he soared………over all the hopelessness…
Armed agents just small motivators to go…..boldly into homelessness…
He knows silence only on the streets when it rains in the night…
All he feels is invisible…….hid in plain open sight…
Sleeps an wakes, eats and waits to reach a day when he can say…
He finally feels the pain he’s due….or maybe it’s supposed to be this way.
Vulgar. …The Mechanic...
Engineer school was a breeze when you had the tools to succeed
Concentrated, she flourished with ease, a few useless degrees garnished her fireplace
But inside, all she could sense was undesired space, an abandoned apartment
Her manager barked ’What are you, some type of phantom” - a heartless anthem of darkness
Followed she worked at a crematorium at the edge of the Bronx
Surrounded by silent bodies it was the only place she “felt” she ever belonged
When she was a kid and family headed for the local mosque to talk and drink
In hell’s kitchen, she sung her solemn song in the fog of the sinks
“So you are human after all…“ her doctor mused, listening to her heartbeat in sync
She just nodded and blinked, hit the bar for a drink.
A young, handsome man approached her with a smirk, she just mumbled “I’m not what you think.”
Impassionate, her lack of sacrament was plain to see, sex unremarkable to say the least
Convenient enough that she was numb… her boyfriend’s package was a shade petite
Never concerned, never excited, never aroused, never energetic, never tired
Separated from the web of life like the legs of a severed spider she needed no sympathizer
The evidence was prerequisite as doctors prescribed her with rare acting deficit
Her psychologist asked “How do you feel today?”
But her usually cool blue eyes were pear wax, she stared back expressionless.
Waking up hoping she can keep the disease at bay on a cold but scenic day
She feels nothing, a machine under the autumn sky… or maybe it’s supposed to be this way.

…Evolution seeks company…

V
Ambient sunrise - billboard ecstasy
City of sleeping internal organs… stillborn recipes
She walks with a stiff, conditioned energy, no serenity
Pigeons disperse from her pathway, then in soars destiny…

7
Within pores never clean soaks his past...
He hoped at last to see a strong contrast...
Between bein awake an bein poked in a bag...
He woke an gasped, is he still alone?....at last...

V
Some people said she spoke too fast, so she mumbled in code
The street cold never shuttered her bones, she was tough in the snow
and it if weren’t for a shuffle she most…likely wouldn’t have noticed a man…
she'd gently nudged in the gutter below

7
Sudden he up an just froze nothin' at all in his bones...
Rubbin his palm on his dome somethin has gone a bit wrong...
Looked up an could draw from the pose a lady in gray...
He'll wait but won't say he thinks she figured out and embraces his ways...

V
Spellbinding. Spine climbing. Goosebumps, oxygen, the tides rising!
Hell on high water, he took in the surrounding disorder... his mind trying
to tell the difference between this moment and the moment before this?
Attempting to cope with this sudden feeling of warmth...and a woman kneeling before him

7
Deep in the organs, attraction...he has no harbor for that..
He feels nothing sleepin outside a massage parlor in fact...
Nothin' darker than that part in his dreams...
Where this very same lady asks "Are you a machine?"...

V
Started feeling the cold of the street. The moldy holes in his sneaks
Beholding this curvaceous gracious strolling physique, feelin like soul that was weak
Feelin like he was thrown in the deep - an ocean of emotional peaks
That slowly motionlessly dripped vivid color into a life that was hopelessly bleak

7
Alone on this street...no longer felt controlled in his heap...
He tried to muster an answer from the soul of his feet...
All he could say was..."please.....explain."...
Then in her eye's reflection he began to see his pain...

V
This wasn't a fantasy of Twain, no great expectation
She could see the true nature of his heart, she felt a faithful sensation
beginning to take hold, then the dawn of reason came
The machine had changed... as she began to see her pain...

7
His machine, the same, through beams of rain an answer dangled...
A man can't stand wit no plan so he stands and demands an angle...
Commands a label cuz we must, man we gotta just obtain some answers...
To the brain he panders in search of the faith to contain this cancer...

V
Monotony floats away on clouds of doubt, fulfilled at last
He feels her pass. Stunned - so beautiful, smelling good, he's still aghast
Both held hands, finally unmasked, killing each other softly
They simply took each other's breath away... and collapsed onto the concrete.

…Evolution always finds a balance…
